Renovating your kitchen means incorporating appliances which work best for the space. If you entertain a lot, think about a large freestanding cooker or a double oven. Also consider the size of the fridge you’ll need so you give yourself enough space in the design. It’s all about functionality and your appliances need to work for you.
Along with the clever design, it is the fixtures and fittings that result in a successful outcome. Entirely made in the AKD factory, the carcass incorporates Australian-made board products from Politec and Worldwide Timbers, while quality hardware from Hettich, Hafele and Galvin Hardware were selected to achieve high quality and functionality.
If you have very limited kitchen storage space, you can free up room for a pantry in the main kitchen by using storage in nearby areas. For example, you could install a cabinet in the neighbouring dining area which you can use for flatware, glasses or serving ware. To make this idea functional, make sure you utilise your seperate storage space for rarely used items which you won’t miss if they’re not in this kitchen. Freeing up storage space in your small kitchen gives you more flexibility when it comes to installing a larger pantry.
Your splashback will be custom made to fit the measurements of your splashback area. Splashbacks are made from toughened glass, which means that float glass undergoes a heating process in a furnace up to 600 degrees. After heating it is rapidly cooled. This process increases the compression forces on the surface and tension forces inside the glass, which makes it four to five times stronger than ordinary glass. The toughened glass then undergoes the painting process, where paints are mixed to an exact colour formula and then sprayed onto the glass. Heat is applied which sets the paint and after 24 hours the splashback is ready to be installed.
